Meet Vilda, she is from Lithuania but currently she is living and working in Tenerife, Spain. She is one of those curious and dynamic people that never stops exploring and currently she is delving into the culture and la vida loca of Spain. Vilda will spend the whole summer in Tenerife and will gather memories and experiences that will last for a life time.
Her role as a co-living assistant in Awid Aman is crucial because she takes care of the guests of the coliving, organizes events, maintains the communications channels and takes care of the vibrant atmosphere.

1. Tell us about you and your journey until now
My journey so far is very motivating and inspiring to follow my professional dreams. As a social entrepreneur, one of my goals is to learn more about my own branding and networking. I made this decision because I simply needed a new wave of inspiration, a new style of management, and simply new opportunities.
2. How was the change from living in Lithuania to living in Spain?
I lived in several different countries, starting in the United Kingdom, The Netherlands, Indonesia, and Georgia. Change from Living in Lithuania was huge. First of all the weather, and slow living really provides me with a different point of view on my personal and of course professional life.
3. What kind of duties do you do at work on a daily basis?
On a daily basis, I am managing 3 projects: the Academy of Cognizance which is my main priority, and my personal mission. Meetings, project writing, and concept creation for several innovative and educational mindfulness programs.
The second project is the Metaverse virtual room, where I collaborate with partners from all around the world. Meetings, decision making, research, and search for investors.
Awid Aman project takes 4-5 hours a day. Sometimes, depending on the events we do organize, it could take up to 10 hours. My main duties are the organizational part and concept development for the brand. I do share movement therapy and several other activities within the Awid Aman program for different co-living spaces. Every day is quite active and full of meetings with partners and Sonia.
“Do not be afraid of losing your comfort zone. One thing that I can promise is you will have many unique experiences, great people around you, and many opportunities to grow.“
4. What do you do in your free time on the island?
During my free time, I work on my Spanish language, travel around, hike, and attend different community events. I fell in love with the place where I am right now and I am having plans to move here when the time will be suitable. There is a perfect balance between free time and working time. Perfect balance between learning and enjoying.
5. What have you gained from this experience so far?
I gained a different approach to the business and a lot of possibilities to collaborate with unique and different entrepreneurs. I slowed down and understood that life is much more beautiful when the sun is shining.
6. Would you recommend Jump into Freedom for someone looking for a position abroad? How was the whole process until you finally relocate?
I would definitely recommend Jump into freedom since I highly appreciate smooth communication. Overall experience was good with a little bit of confusion. For the next participants, I would recommend explaining all the necessary details such as “having to stay in the country till they are allowed to leave”.
Thank you girls for taking care of me anyways :*

7. Any advice for someone who would like to move abroad just like you did?
My advice is to go for it, and experience life and possibilities. Do not be afraid of losing your comfort zone. One thing that I can promise is you will have many unique experiences, great people around you, and many opportunities to grow. There is no one way to reach your goals, there are a lot of possibilities so make sure you are not stuck in one place doing a one-way approach.
